In 2009 we started dedicating ourselves to the project HIO-Fitting. We want to help golfers improve their game and fascinate them by showing them their true potential. Our interdisciplinary team consists of six passionate golfers, who give everything to enable customers to reach new levels in their golf. We are specialized in the things that we do, whether it is club engineering, research & development or app design. We are working hard and constantly developing for a better golfing world.

I studied technology management at the Technical University in Munich. Here I discovered my passion for technological coherences. Being a passionate golfer myself, I find it astonishing to see the influence that different materials and a well-structured fitting can make day in and day out. Combining my management knowledge with golf in an innovative environment is what I studied for - and HIO offers this.

During my studies at the TU Munich I specialized in „sports engineering“, which sharpened my affinity for player-material interactions. I have been playing golf since I was 7, and growing older and developing I increasingly found interest in studying the science of golf. I have a teaching qualification, which helps me integrate my material and golf knowledge, while fitting customers. In addition I compete on the highest level in Germany. Golf is my passion.

Durch HIO habe ich meine Leidenschaft für Golf entdeckt. Der Schlägerbau hat so viele Teilprozesse, welche alle maßgeblich das Schlagergebnis des Spielers beeinflussen können. Die Digitalisierung und Optimierung von Arbeitsprozessen stellt sicher, dass keine Fehler unterlaufen können.

In 2006 I won the German Championships and ever since golf has been an increasingly important aspect of my life. During my amateur career I have played for many 1st league teams throughout Germany, but I always saw the potential to be better than others. I think HIO gives many people the chance to reach another level in their game, which is why I want to help HIO spread their concept. Fitting for a generation is what golf needs and we can provide it.

Seit etlichen Jahren arbeite ich in der Golfbranche und habe vom klassischen Golfladen bishin zum professionellen Fittingstudio viel gesehen. Als leidenschaftlicher Spieler im GC Starnberg freut es mich mein Hobby wieder mit meinem Beruf verknüpfen zu können und im jungen und modernen Team von HIO noch Dinge neu zu entdecken.

Handwerk mit höchster Präzision begeistern mich jeden Tag aus neue. Das Zusammenspiel von Material und Spieler ist vermutlich in keiner Sportart so wichtig wie im Golf. Das der Schläger dann nicht nur zu 100% angepasst, sondern auch exakt nach Maß gebaut wird, ist absolut entscheidend.

Als passionierter Golfer ist es für mich selbstverständlich mich mit meinem Werkzeug zu beschäftigen. Wohl in keinem Sport hat das Material soviel Einfluss auf das Schlagergebnis wie beim Golf. Materialien zu vergleichen und das letzte Stückchen an Performance herauszukitzeln macht mir Spaß.

Due to my 20 years of experience playing golf, I have experienced the development in the golf market affecting my own game. It used to be persimmon clubs - now they are technological masterpieces. Working for the company Spyder I am constantly up to date with trends in the sports business. I am passionate about my amateur golf and with my golf club GC Wiggensbach I would like to reach the 3rd German league. My personal goal is to reach hcp +1.

The long-driving scene in golf constantly provides new and interesting approaches for materials and production procedures. Suitable 3D surfaces enable perfect performance simulations and thereby accelerate the development processes of new golf clubs. During my doctorate in mechanical engineering I spent my free time developing my own club series.

As graphic designer I also see the aesthetics of a golf club. Through a perfect combination of colors. shapes and logos your club can be a really unique one. For me the beauty of a golf club is nearly as important as the performance you achieve.
